Unit 9
Shoreditch, London
Our first screening of the year took place in UNIT 9, Shoreditch. From start to finish, the room was filled wall-to-wall with people.
Despite the modest setup, the response was overwhelming: tickets sold out in under an hour, and a queue wrapped around the block all night. Featured in Time Out, The Evening Standard, and Wonderland Magazine.
Mexico City
Our first international screening took place in Mexico City.
Hosted in a makeshift cinema in the San Rafael district of Mexico City, opposite the abandoned ‘Cine Opera’ landmark.
Floranopolis, Brazil
Strangloscope Apresenta London Experimental.
In collaboration with ‘Strangloscope’, an artistic collective based in Floranopolis, Brazil; London Experimental presented a selection of films from our 2018 entries.
Islington Metal Works Islington
Our last screening of 2019 took place in the famous Islington Metal Works in London, being published in Time Out, Evening Standard and Visit London.
Featuring multiple screening rooms, we screened all of our selected entries from the year, including a selection of works from the festival Straight8.
